don't really have any immediate fic ideas at the moment, but i do have ice dance partners rohji/lino somewhere in my drafts [by this she means it's literally 1 paragraph]!!

SOLELY A HOT PERSON SAME-AGED LINE SHIP!! unfortunately i have no conceptualization of their hypothetical dynamic because my mind just gets stuck on the *shining visual* of it all... i am like a crow who cannot give up shiny things ok...

Sihyeon was, at worst, a compulsive people-pleaser, and, at best, someone who tried so hard to say precisely what people wanted to hear that it instead came out entirely wrong. When put that way, both options sounded like a bad social commentary about how man’s inherent need to connect went from evolutionary necessity to spending too much time searching five iterations of her own name on Pann and obsessively tallying the good to bad top comments ratio real quick, and equally –

“Miserable.” Sihyeon glances over the top of her phone to frown at Jiwon from the dining table. “You’re gonna give yourself indigestion.”

She turns the screen face-down with a sigh. “What else am I supposed to do?” There’s a faded EVERGLOW sticker stuck on the back of the case, an iteration of the logo from their last comeback over a year ago. A fan had slipped it to her under the plastic barrier during a fansign and Sihyeon thought it’d be funny to use unofficial fan goods where the company could see them. She’d forgotten she’d even stuck it there in the first place until she caught herself picking at the softened corner of it during a water break last week. “Maybe I should just quit,” she eventually concludes, just for the fantasy of it.

“And owe the company the withdrawal fee?” Jiwon points out. Sihyeon can see the vlog she’s editing from the new monitor Yiren had bought her for her birthday. She’d video-called them from where she’d been filming some teen drama in Shanghai and neither of them could bear to tell her that the box had sat next to the shoe rack for weeks until Jiwon finally got around to setting it up. “Besides, I heard the ratings went up.”

Sihyeon hates that she can’t help but preen. “You’re right,” she admits before flipping her phone over again. “What would I be without the public’s opinion, anyway?”







[enter-talk] ACCIDENTAL LOVE CONFESSION FROM AN IDOL ON LIVE RADIO BROADCAST??

The DJ asked Kim Sihyeon about her “Let’s Go Together” castmate SF9’s Hwiyoung and their friendship from the show since they always end up on the same team and get the punishment because they’re bad at games ㅋㅋ

They started talking about her other friendships with the cast members. But suddenly, the DJ asks if she’d date anyone there.

Kim Sihyeon’s response [about Hwiyoung]: “Since we’ve both promoted as idols and are the same age, it was easy to become close. We discuss our thoughts with each other a lot. He might not seem like it from what you see on the show, but Youngkyunnie is really the kind to listen to my worries well! I’d say out of everyone, I’m the most comfortable with him. I think I was lucky I was able to meet him like this.”

I was surprised because idols usually keep the “I only date my fans” kind of image. Isn’t this too sincere to be anything other than an actual confession???

“Shut up.”

Sihyeon can hear the half-laugh he’s trying to stifle in his voice when he jogs to catch up with her. “I haven’t even said anything?” After she’d panic-texted him IT WAS A MISTAKE I’M SOOOOOO SORRY, all he’d replied with two days later was an lol, most empathetically. screw u, she sent back only for him to link a tweet with an excruciating one minute and thirty-six second long compilation of their moments together on the show set to Girls’ Generation’s “Gee.”

The truth is, the only reason she’d gotten a spot as a fixed cast member in the first place was because no one ever expected the program to hit it as big as it did. And then a big-name PD who’d come out of quasi-retirement picked the show up out of production limbo, and the pilot episode went semi-viral within a month, and now Sihyeon was relevant enough for her company to consider pulling the defamation card to ward off gossip blogs trying to piece together the timeline of her supposed dating career from blurry backstage vlog cams.

“Unnie,” Serim had put it kindly when she’d come back from using the bathroom in the middle of the night and found Sihyeon scrolling through a thread of conspiracy theories about her one-sided love in the otherwise darkness at four in the morning, “please get a life.”

“You’re smiling like the Cheshire cat,” Sihyeon scowls. “I saw your gums all the way from the parking lot.”

Hwiyoung walks backwards to face her, holding out a takeout cup of iced coffee like an olive branch. “It didn’t cross your mind that I was just happy to see you?”

She swipes at it, begrudgingly. “More like happy to make fun of me for misreading the teleprompter.” After taking a sip, she notices a printed version of one of his recent magazine shoot photos on the mint green cup sleeve. Sihyeon only knows that because she'd woken up from a nap maybe a month ago to a what do you think? and five blurry photos taken of the monitor. the photographer's working hard ㅋㅋ, she'd finally managed to text back after using two bleary-eyed rounds of Sudoku to regain consciousness. “Don’t you think your fans are leaving enough hate comments for me already?”

“It’s extra from my filming schedule.” Now that he mentions it, Sihyeon notices the thicker layer of concealer under his eyes is beginning to crease where he gets crow’s feet when he smiles. She rubs at her own face in the same spot absentmindedly, not sure how to tell him about it. “Or I could look bad for wasting fan support,” he says, hands in his pockets. The left side of his mouth tugs up in the lopsided beginning of a smile. “Your scandal or mine.”

Sihyeon slips the sleeve off the cup. “Flattered that you think I’m a philanthropist.” And then she hands it back, miming a baton pass while trying not to grin at her own awful joke. “But it’s alllllllll yours this time.”

Bae Inhyuk: Can I call you Youngkyun too?

Hwiyoung: Oh, of course (he agrees so easily ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Sihyeon's offended expression... f*cking hilarious)

Hwiyoung later explained on a radio show that he thought Sihyeon had a stage name, so he was waiting for her to tell him what he should call her. And when she didn’t say anything, he thought she didn’t want to become close with him ㅋㅋ He didn’t figure out that her birth name is actually just Kim Sihyeon until a month later

During the opening, Hwiyoung brings up that he and Sihyeon are speaking casually to each other now. The PD edited a bunch of clips from filming where they’re still using honorifics.

The legendary water quiz episode ㅋㅋ It was already funny when Hwiyoung got the water bomb penalty but while the others were telling the PD to protect his image as an idol, Kim Sihyeon immediately tried to cover his face with her hair ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ This is when they started calling them the Kim (*Seaweed) Friends

sept 18: ABOUT THE FIC SHE REFUSES TO UN-ANON. 1 month later: un-anoned... i have That many awful het fics on my main ao3 user anyway so what's there really to hide other than my shame for writing almost 9k of terribad fwb fic!! but when i still have even worse jjp fic from 2015 that i haven't orphaned what is there to fear anymore!! this was really only a one-time pairing because i don't have strong feelings about either winter or heeseung, i just had a bad bout of brainworms that led to me to write... you already know!
